WE LOVE GREEN!!

Just quickly I have to take the time and write about what a fun day we had today! Aunt Julie spent the night last night so that she could wake up with us and make a green breakfast. Aunt Julie always has such creative fun ideas and simply makes everything more fun!! She had bought a loaf of green bread from a bakery and our day started with green french toast and green milk. After that she helped me get the kids ready in their St. Patrick's day gear. Next, we made all of my nephews and Josie a green lunch which included a green sandwich, green guacamole chips, green apples, green Gatorade, and a shamrock cookie to finish it off. We had so much fun taking my nephew Jacob his green lunch. He was called into the office at his school and it was hilarious to watch him walk in the door because he had such a worried look on his face, later he told us he thought he was called into the office because he was in trouble. After the shock of seeing us instead of being in trouble wore off I think he was excited. Next we took Josie to school and it was cute to see the kids all lined up and almost everyone in green. Parker was anxious to go play with his good buddy (cousin Dillon) so we headed to Great Grandma's to have our green lunches with Lincoln, Dillon, Lisa, Grandma Patty, Gma (aka great grandma Argo). They had so much fun running around and eating their extra treat of green skittles together. St. Patty's day countined in great splendor however now I am getting tired and need to go to bed. It was a good day but kind of exhausting now that I am finally sitting down and thinking about it. I hope you all had a fun St. Patty's Day too!

TWINS

I went shopping and bought Parker these new pants and church shirt for easter. Well when my Dad came home from work that day he had on the exact same pants and shirt. Parker got soo excited and keep shouting (I know he is normally so quite, HA) "Grandpa, Mommy just bought me those pants and shirt!" Needless to say Parker was so besides himself with joy that he ran into his room and put on the new clothes and wanted to take pictures with grandpa. Man, I have trained him right!!

Daddy Daughter Date

Since Stephen has finished studying and taking the bar he has tried to take the kids out for some one on one daddy time, which was much needed! Parker has enjoyed going fishing and going to the driving range with Daddy. Josie was so excited the night before her one on one time that she thanked Heavenly Father that she could go on a Daddy Daughter Date the next day with her Daddy. They had a good time going for a hike in our near by mountains. You can even see in one of the pictures the lovely graffiti that someone left.

LA ZOO fieldtrip

Josie's first field trip with her new class was to the LA Zoo, which is really nothing compared to the Omaha zoo, but she was excited! She was also very excited that I got to go on the field trip and chaperon, and even ride on the bus with her! It was a perfect day weather wise and there were so many chaperone's that I was only in charge of one other little girl, Naylie. So we were free to go off on our own and do whatever we wanted. Naylie was such a talker, I thought Josie was a non-stop chatting machine but this little girl put her to shame. They were actually quite cute together and all in all it was a great time!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

We all had a terrific Valentine's Day! It started with heart shaped pancakes and valentines from Daddy to Josie and from Mommy to Parker.
After that I had the opportunity to volunteer in Josie's class for the Valentine's party. It was a very well planned and fun party. I helped the children make a craft and then helped set up the snack.

One of the moms had made these really cute heart necklaces for all the kids, which was very nice of her.
After the party Josie raced home to open all the valentines that she had got. She sat down with GG and they went through and read all of the valentines, keeping out the ones that had goodies attached! To finish out the day we made heart pizzas for dinner. They didn't turn out tasting too yummy but they were cute!

A Heavenly day at the Beach!

Heavenly is the best word I could come up with for our wonderful day at the beach on Saturday. The weather was absolutely perfect, could not have been better! My sister-in-law Julie called us up Saturday morning and wanted to know if we wanted to go down to Newport Beach and of course we jumped at the chance. Parker was besides himself with happiness! He has been talking about going to the beach ever since we left Nebraska. The kids had so much fun playing in the water, collecting shells and playing in the sand. Parker buried a beach toy and needless to say we left the beach without the toy because he could not remember where he had buried it. Oh well, it kept them busy for almost an hour trying to look for it, while Mommy soaked up some sun. After leaving the beach we went to rite-aid to get an ice cream treat. The flavor they picked was cotton candy and it was the most vibrant and bright colors of purple, hot pink and blue you can imagine. Even if they wanted to they would not have been able to keep clean.

We Love our GG!!

Last night I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve! I was so anxious and excited for my grandma to come home from Utah that I could hardly stand it! I had not seen her for over 6 months and I missed her. She is one of my very favorite people in the world. She is sassy, funny and says it like it is. I love going over to her side of the house and visiting with her. She is always making me laugh and she makes my days a little brighter. Josie and Parker are already loving having her back! If we ever wonder where Josie is all we have to do is go over to GG's side. You can regularly catch them sitting in GG's recliner and watching the animal channel together! We are so glad you are back GG!!
